Base for single-pole switch or single-pole push-button, 10 AX/250 Vac, screw terminals. The switch contains block-shaped silver contacts (cadmium-free) arranged in a cross. The contact terminals are equipped with cage clamps with captive screws. These screws have a combination screw head (Pz1 or slot 1 x 5 mm). Each screw also has a screwdriver guide that prevents the screwdriver from slipping out of the screw head. All connection terminals are located at the top of the base and can accommodate up to 2 x 2.5 mm² of wire. The wire stripping length (8 mm) and the wiring diagram are indelibly marked on the back of the base. The terminal identification and the switching symbol are indelibly marked on the front. The base is provided with two rectangular recesses at the bottom for the integration of a lighting unit. In the left recess (front view), a lighting unit with wires or an automatic lighting unit can be clicked into place. On the back, the base is provided with circular cut-outs that ensure the automatic lighting unit (not included) makes direct contact with the mechanism upon insertion and is thus directly and correctly connected.
Fastening into a flush-mounting box is done using screws. The mounting frame has a metal thickness of 1 mm and is galvanized on all sides after cutting, including the cut edges. On the horizontal and vertical axis, the mounting frame has 4 entry slots for fixing in flush-mounting boxes with screws. These entry slots have a 7 mm screw hole. For panel mounting, the mounting frame is provided with 4 screw holes (indicated by a screw symbol) with a diameter of 3 mm. The center of the mounting frame is indicated in both horizontal and vertical directions (chalk line, laser, etc.) so that the installation of one or more mechanisms can proceed smoothly and easily. The base has folded-up dovetails on all sides, allowing for quick and perfect horizontal and vertical coupling (center distance 71 x 71 mm) of multiple bases. The folded-up edges on the outside of the base, as well as the inward setting, provide extra robustness. The 4 rectangular openings (7 x 2.5 mm) in the mounting frame can absorb a clearance of 1 to 1.2 mm if the flush-mounting box protrudes from the plaster. With such a clearance, the cover plate can still fit perfectly against the wall.
